ViewpointNallamudi Viewpoint
Valparai's most famous viewpoint — a sea of clouds rolling over the Grass Hills. A short walk through tea estates leads to the edge of the world.

Tucked into the Anamalai hills at 3,500 ft, Valparai is a quiet paradise of endless tea estates, thundering waterfalls, misty viewpoints and rich wildlife — reached by one of India's most beautiful drives.
About Valparai
Valparai sits high in the Anamalai range of the Western Ghats, in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. Draped in some of the oldest tea and coffee plantations in South India, it is far greener, cooler and quieter than the more crowded hill stations — which is exactly why travellers who find it keep coming back.
The journey itself is half the magic: a famous 40-hairpin-bend ghat road that climbs through the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, past Aliyar Dam and Monkey Falls. Along the way you may spot wild elephants, gaur (Indian bison), lion-tailed macaques and the great Malabar hornbill.
Up top, days are spent chasing waterfalls, standing above the clouds at Nallamudi and Loams viewpoints, walking through working tea estates, and unwinding at the peaceful Sholayar dam. It's a place made for slow mornings, big views and clean mountain air.
